Join us at Wuchopperen Health Service for a vibrant NAIDOC Community Day filled with culture, connection, and celebration. Enjoy traditional dance performances, live music, cultural activities, food, and information stalls. This family-friendly event is open to all ages and a great opportunity to come together and celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture.

Wuchopperen Health Service is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation providing holistic, culturally safe health care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in Cairns and surrounding regions. Guided by its vision of "Keeping Our Generations Growing Strong," Wuchopperen delivers integrated services across primary health, social and emotional wellbeing, and family support. With clinics in Manoora and Edmonton, and a majority Indigenous workforce, Wuchopperen empowers community through accessible, person-centred care and a strong foundation in self-determination.

About the committee
The Cairns NAIDOC Committee is made up of 100% volunteers — mob and community who give their time, knowledge, and heart without pay, because standing for culture is non-negotiable.
We proudly secure government funding, corporate sponsorships, and generate ticket sales to cover the costs of delivering NAIDOC events.
But the Committee itself remains fully volunteer-run.
Every meeting, every late-night email, every big decision — it’s all carried by the hands of people committed to seeing our culture thrive.
